Record A Video For YouTube!

Did you know that YouTube is the third most popular site on the internet today? Would you like to see your video displayed on that page for all to see? Record a video for You Tube as that makes good economic sense. It doesn’t cost anything to make the recording and it provides you with an opportunity to gather residual traffic for a very long time. It is one of those items that belong in the “set it and forget it” department.

How do you get started to record a video for YouTube or just recording a video? The first thing you want to do is make sure that you have a camera that will make the recording. Some computers have built in cameras but mine does not. I resorted to a webcam that is about seven years old but has had very little use. I wasn’t even sure if the software would load on the camera, if the focus was acceptable and if the sound would be audible.


After playing around with all of the components, adjusting the focus, trying to get better lighting and making sure that the camera was positioned in a comfortable place, I started to record a video for YouTube. I did do a little testing but I really jumped in and decided to see what would happen. I wasn’t thrilled with my first attempt and I only recorded a little more than two minutes, but I was pleased that it was not hard; in fact it was rather easy. I was not concerned about being in front of a camera and I did not rehearse what I was going to say although I had written a couple of articles on the subject and I felt comfortable with the material. Wow, was I really recording a video?

The lighting was not optimal and the background reflected some of the light which I think was a distraction. However I got over the hurdle of recording a video and I now feel comfortable and will make many more videos. You see it is important if you want to get your videos ranked on the first page of Google to develop a track record of becoming known and to develop the branding of your name. After all that is part and parcel of becoming known as an online marketer.

A colleague suggested that I might want to spruce up my video recording by using a program found at flixpress.com. Flixpress offers you the opportunity to create a brief jazzy introduction and also a creative closing. Many of their pre-set short videos are free and you can customize them with your keywords, website, branding of your name or anything else you wish to include. The options are endless and a choice of three sound tracks were available for you to add to your recording.

When the recordings are complete they can easily be uploaded to You Tube and it was astonishingly amazing how easy it was to put the pieces together, add the title, keywords, and an author resource box which leads the viewer to your website or wherever you choose to find what you are marketing.

Now don’t just sit back on your laurels and dwell in the fact that you created a recording for YouTube. In order to become popular and taken seriously one must be committed to making many recordings and uploading them to YouTube. Remember if YouTube is the third most visited site on the internet, than your name could become well known and your marketing possibilities would be endless. That certainly makes me wonder why more people do not develop entrepreneurial skills and declare “I am an entrepreneur.”

More and more people are becoming disenchanted with “the job” that they perform day in day out and are not pleased with their income. Many employers don’t feel it is important to compliment staff for their worth to the company. This makes people feel disenchanted with their job!

Article marketing is a very effective way to get on the first page of Google and other search engines and create an avalanche of free traffic with many leads and profitable sales from your web site. Once an article is written, accepted by an article publisher such as Ezine.com, you are on your way to becoming a known and respected author.

How can article marketing get you activity for your business? Article marketing is a form of advertising where you write short articles, get them published on large article directory websites, gain recognition and also have the opportunity to link back to your own website.

Obviously one article for your article marketing tool box will not make you completely credible but you have made an excellent start. The more articles you get published, the more of the internet you will own. Google will index your articles quicker once you become a known entity and that is the goal.
